Tribal Flight has access to most leading brands of paragliders, although we do have our preference as safety and quality is top priority. Tribal Flight Paragliding is located in Toowoomba and was established to promote the sport of Paragliding, acknowledging specific training techniques and requirements, to create a friendlier safer environment for students. About Paragliding.
Paragliding is the fastest growing aviation sport in the world. Being able to fly hundreds of kilometers using equipment carried in a Back pack is very appealing. Some people mistake Paragliding for a parasail’s or parachutes. But when up close they see the real difference. Paragliding is the simplest form of flying and a natural way to get high.

 Developed from ram air parachutes by NASA, the paraglider is a foot-launched inflatable wing which allows pilots to fly more than 400 kilometers and climb up to more than 6000 meters. The inflatable wing forming an aerofoil which creates the same aerodynamic affects that of aero plane wings. Using lift created by the wind traveling upwards close to hills or using rising columns or air called thermals, pilots have been able to fly for hours and cover large distances. The magical experience of flight will start as an adrenalin rush, smoothing out to excitement and then turns to pure addiction.

 Safety
Paragliding is as safe as you want to make it. Starting with good instructors, the correct equipment, learning to access the conditions and flying with more experienced pilots in the early stages all adds to your experience, and soon you will be advising novice pilots on conditions.

Can I do it?
